CCRx - Initial-fill Pharmacy Service

The Cypress Care first-fill pharmacy card is a single-use pharmacy card that provides an immediate solution for initial medication needs. You will receive a supply of pre-authorized pharmacy cards that can be issued on-demand prior to the claimant's first visit to a medical facility. The claimant may use the card one time at the pharmacy of their choice, with absolutely no out-of-pocket expense and no paperwork.

After its use, the patient is transitioned to the retail pharmacy service, if required, and the first-fill card is deactivated and can no longer be used to fill prescriptions. The first-fill card is the most convenient, secure, and effective method for providing immediate access to pharmacy benefits when an injury occurs.
