Cypress Care Promotes Chuck Cavaness to Chief Information Officer; Hires New Vice President of Technology

ATLANTA – October, 11 2007 – Cypress Care today announced that Chuck Cavaness has been promoted to Chief Information Officer.  Brian Keeton has been hired as Vice President of Technology. The two industry veterans have nearly 30 years combined information technology and infrastructure experience, adding to Cypress Care’s breadth of powerful technology and industry expertise to expedite its customers’ workers' compensation, automotive insurance and Medicare Set-Aside claims.

In his new role as Chief Information Officer, Chuck Cavaness will provide strategic and tactical planning, development, evaluation and coordination of the information and technology systems including voice, data, imaging and office automation.

Vice President of Technology Brian Keeton will be responsible for product architecture and all development activities related to Cypress Care’s industry recognized Sequoia™ platform. Sequoia is Cypress Care’s proprietary software platform that provides workers' compensation payers real-time intelligence on drug spending and streamlines claims administration.

Chuck Cavaness joined Cypress Care in 2004. He is a software technologist and strategist with experience in the healthcare, banking and B2B/B2C sectors. He has taught courses in object-oriented programming at Georgia Tech, where he earned his degree. Chuck is the author of several books and a frequent contributor to various technical magazines. Prior to joining Cypress Care, Chuck was the Chief Technologist for S1 Inc., where he directed strategy, service and product delivery for its suite of financial applications.

Brian Keeton has more than 15 years experience designing and developing software applications for a variety of industries including healthcare, banking, and manufacturing. He has authored several books on enterprise and object-oriented software development, with an emphasis on applying J2EE technologies to business systems. Prior to joining Cypress Care, Brian was chief technology officer at Visiprise, where he provided technical direction and oversight for the company’s industry leading suite of enterprise manufacturing execution systems. Brian earned his MS in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech in 1993.
