Successful βeta-testing has confirmed the value of Clinical Rx™, now in use by Cypress Care customers. Customers can access Clinical Rx™ services through Cypress Care’s CCRx program. This proprietary program utilizes client driven data, combined with evidence-based medicine (EBM), formulary management and pharmaceutical appropriateness, to positively affect customers’ overall pharmacy costs. Key program features include:
Clinical Pharmacy Authorization (CPA)
- Initiated by meeting a “Red Flag” criteria
- Brings a physician into the PA Process
- Provides adjusters with clinical recommendations on specific prescriptions
Clinical Pharmacy Review (CPR)
- Reviews of the pharmaceutical and medical records by medical professional staff
- Provides recommendations on current drug treatment program, specific to the medical record
- Provides objective third party review
Physician Outreach Program
- Data driven by the individualized prescription history and customer parameters, in conjunction with professional consultation by Cypress Care staff
- Creates the opportunity for written physician notification and feedback
- Assesses physician prescribing behavior after program notification
