Mariana Betancourt,
Director of Account Management
Mariana Betancourt, Director of Account Management, joined Cypress Care in July of 2007. She is responsible for oversight of Cypress Care’s account management team.
She has over 20 years of experience in the workers’ compensation industry. Mariana began her career as a case manager in south Florida for Continental Insurance Corporation, progressing to increased levels of accountability related to management, sales and account management.
Upon CNA’s acquisition of Continental Insurance Corporation, she joined their cost management division, where she managed medical cost management vendor programs (medical/hospital bill review, PPO network, pharmacy benefits management, imaging, durable medical equipment, peer review and utilization review).
In 2001, she joined CNA’s Six Sigma team, becoming a certified Black Belt, managing multi disciplinary process improvement teams, applying Six Sigma methodology.
Upon leaving CNA, Mariana joined the CorVel Corporation and managed their metropolitan Atlanta telephonic and field case management team. Subsequently, she held both Regional Sales Director and Executive Account Manager positions at TechHealth, an ancillary medical services organization.
Mariana earned her Bachelors Arts in Psychology from Florida International University in Miami, and her Masters of Science in Educational Psychology from the University of Miami. Additionally, she is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
